Focusing on redesigning the current website of Smile Wellness, a massage shop. Redesigning the Wellness Website: Enhancing User Experience and Booking Efficiency.
The existing Smile Thai Wellness website, https://smilethaiwellness.com/, faces significant challenges. These include the absence of a functional booking system, an unattractive design, and a lack of menu organization. These shortcomings collectively hinder the user experience, failing to meet the needs of its visitors. Understanding and acknowledging these specific issues are pivotal steps as they lay the foundation for essential improvements aimed at enhancing the overall quality of the website.
This step is about understanding who the website is designed for, the different types of people who will use it. The redesigned website targets a diverse audience in search of relaxation, wellness, and therapeutic services. This includes working professionals seeking stress relief, wellness enthusiasts exploring massage therapies, tourists wanting to experience local wellness, fitness enthusiasts seeking muscle recovery, seniors looking for pain relief and improved mobility, and first-time massage recipients needing guidance.
We believe that the unclear header menu is resulting in a higher than expected bounce rate.
Solution: Add a clear "Book Now" button and rearrange the menu to make it more intuitive and user-friendly. And cut off unnecessary menu

We believe that providing detailed descriptions and explanations of massage services will make it clearer and more systematic on the page and have a bar that tells what this massage will help and which part of the body will be massaged.
Solution: Enhance the massage services section by providing detailed descriptions, explanations, and benefits for each service. Additionally, include a visual indicator or bar to illustrate the benefits and targeted body parts for each massage type.
This step is about the design and development process, moving from basic sketches to more detailed designs that focus on improving the user experience. Design phases transitioned from low-fidelity wireframes to medium-fidelity wireframes, focusing on user-centered improvements. The booking system was revamped, starting with the homepage's attractive booking button. A four-step booking process was introduced, guiding users through massage selection, therapist choice, date selection, and appointment confirmation. The service page was redesigned to present massage types more comprehensibly. The changes I make in this phase are based on real user insights and feedback, ensuring that the final website is well-designed and user-friendly.
The final design and prototype showcase a transformed Smile Thai Wellness website. The home page welcomes visitors with an inviting atmosphere and a prominently placed booking button. The service page offers organized massage options with detailed descriptions, empowering users to make informed choices. The booking process is now a seamless four-step journey, with a sidebar summarizing selected options. Each massage type has a dedicated page with detailed information. A self-check survey guides users to the most suitable massage.
Throughout this project, I have demonstrated a mastery of design principles and Figma, resulting in the redesign of a significantly improved website. The redesigned Smile Thai Wellness website now features a clean and organized design, a step-by-step booking process, clear descriptions of massage options, and a well-structured menu. The aim of this redesign is to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for users seeking relaxation and wellness services.
